Dr. Kumar, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Aquabiology and Fisheries, University of Kerala, spoke at the GEP Talk Series on 18 Sept, 2011 about his integrated research into the state of knowledge on the linkages between biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, food security, and sustainable livelihoods. He aims to address the longstanding knowledge gap with local action initiatives that could contribute to policy making. An award-winning researcher and scientist, Dr. Kumar also holds several positions including State Nodal Officer for National Green Corps and Scientific Officer for Kerala State Dept of Science, Technology and Environment. |
