The GEP Centre in France is organizing a 'Kerala Floods Benefit Concert' on April 6th in Paris. The evening of stirring music by the artist Poumi is a Benefit for the people in Kerala who are still suffering as a result of the recent floods.
Poumi is an acclaimed multitalented artist--a singer, dancer, painter, and writer. She gives concerts in churches, chapels, festivals, spiritual events, multi-religion congress, theatres, and more.
"Poumi dedicates her luminous voice to liturgical chants. Her childhood was nourished by her mother, an opera singer; she is also a dancer. She started a long series of voyages to India from 1977, where she followed the teaching of great masters. Her deep and profound tone, moves the most hard-core atheist by the mysterious vibrations of her meditative chant.” B. Daoudi (in the French newspaper Liberation)
The event is also a tribute for the late Ms. Kakoli, who was her teacher. The great vocalist passed away in January.
